Krstulović Featured in New Monograph

After the Fall exhibited artist Elvis Krstulović is featured in a chapter of At Second Glance: Positions of Contemporary Croation Photography, a new monograph by art historian Sandra Krizic Roban.

In the book, Roban calls for new theoretical considerations and interpretations of the known material. She considers the tendencies "in the field of art photography in the national context, linking partciular [artists] with international tendencies." The work is published by Institute of Art History Zagreb and is available for purchase online.

Peekskill Project Artist Subject of Article

Peekskill Project Artist Sarah Haviland was recently the subject of an article on CUNYNewswire. The article features an interview with Haviland, who discusess her public sculpture Reflection Bench, now on display on Governor's Island, but formally of the Peekskill Project, Peekskill's city-wide art festival sponsored by the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art.

The cement sculpture, designed to be functional, reflects the artist's interest in public art as "humanistic and not imposing."
